Hidden potential in healthcare sector

Looking at the current demand for highly qualified medical
professionals and a dearth of 'holistic' medical training and
guidance, I propose a platform whereby aspiring medical students can
attain basic knowledge about the medical sector along with tips and
guidelines on how to channelize their aspirations in a way which will
propel the growth of India's healthcare sector.

We say this because of following:

1. Supply Constraint (Shortage of well qualified doctors as you
mentioned in your slide show)  which can be catered through the
Knowledge Machine).
2. The hidden potential in the Global Healthcare Industry (as it
accounts 20% of the GDP)
3. The demographic dividend (which is particularly favourable to india
but can be a disaster if not utilized properly)
4. The increasing demand of Healthcare Services (due to Globalisation
(Swine Flu), increase in pollution, Global warming, ozone depletion
and lots more)
5. Hidden markets in remote areas.

Our idea is still very sketchy as we have not been able to apply much
thought to the nitty gritties of it all, but hopefully after greater
and more fruitful interaction with all of you and also our target segment-
aspiring medical students along with a study of all the current
materials and training available to them, we might make this a very profitable business.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.
